Why did I choose this career?
Ok, I am currently studying
chemistry in Universidad de Chile, but it's funny to think how many options I
had before I finished studying this. First, when I had 10 years old, I wanted
to study Music in the UC’s Conservatory, but as I grew up, I realized that
studying music in Chile is very complicated, and it is preferable to study
outside the country. So, I preferred to leave it simply as a hobby.
2 years later, I converted in a ‘’mathematics
machine’’. All my classmates annoy me for being ‘’seco’’ in math, because I
liked that. For that, I thought to study engineering, but I had no idea what to
mention. Time passes, and more and more I fell in love with science.
It was time to perform the PSU test
to enter university, and again did not know what will study, but I did well in
the test, and I was given the opportunity to study chemistry in the Universdad
de Chile.
And here I am, studying what I really
like, and for the future, I think it is more likely to get to the postgraduate
courses (magister and doctorate) in quantum mechanics.
Keep doing that you like and be happy doing it
